The French Legation Museum is a historic and currently the oldest structure in Austin, Texas. It is also said that this structure is the only one that remains from the period of Texas Republic in Austin. The Legation Museum is also endowed with authentic and antique furniture and other furnishing which dates back from 18th-19th centuries. It also includes a vast showcase of various archeological finds and artifacts from previous excavations and explorations. In total, over 700 pieces of artifacts are now being placed on exhibit.
